As per Hindu mythology, this bridge is built in the same place, where Lord Lakshamana crossed the river Ganges on a simple jute rope.

How to reach: To reach Rishikesh, you can board an overnight train or bus from Delhi or reach Dehradun by Air directly and proceed towards Rishikesh, located at a distance of 35 KMs, via road. Rishikesh is not connected directly to Delhi by train.
