Bird watching at Chidiya Tapu

Chidiya Tapu, located at a distance of 17 km from Port Blair, is an ideal place for seeing panoramic sunsets and go bird watching. By car it takes nearly 40 minutes to reach this picturesque spot. Enjoy the spectacle of exotic birds from all over the world which flock here during the morning.

How to reach

This scenic beach town is well-connected by regular flights from Kolkata and Chennai. Foreigners and NRIs have to arrange for a Protected Area Permit (PAP) which is taken on arrival and is valid only for 30 days.
